Hey Reader, In 2016, I had just received a photo back from the retoucher that left me seriously confused. I was suddenly not only thinner than I'd been since having 3 kids - it looked like I had the fully mommy makeover. Boob job and all. Not gonna lie - I looked amazing! Like 25 year old me! The problem was that this photo was going on my website, and on social, and it was going to be the first impression most people ever got of me... ...and then someone was going to book a call, get on Zoom and think, hold on who is this lady with the wrinkles and grey hairs? So I made myself explicitly clear to that photo retoucher: I wanna look like I have on two pairs of Spanx and everything is just smoothly draping over my body, not like the actual size of my body is being dramatically changed. That was ten years ago. Nobody was arguing about AI yet. But the issue is literally the same. What you're risking here isn't a credibility problem or an ethics problem, it's usually a recognition problem. People know you by your face, your voice, the way you laugh, the words you reach for. And when that public image is a photoshop/filtered/AI perfect version of you, people get confused when they meet the REAL you. In this week's episode, I'm getting into: → What I said to that retoucher in 2016, and why it turned out to be the same rule I am applying to AI now → The reason so much content in your industry suddenly sounds like everyone else and why the tools are only half of it → How I figured out my own boundaries for using AI in my business Listen on your favorite podcast platformMy goal with this AI for High Trust Business series? To help us all use discernment when adopting these new tools and technology. I'd love to know - have you drafted your own AI Statement to guide how you'll explicitly use AI in your business? Racheal PS - The AI infrastructure behind my marketing, client delivery, and finance reporting got built inside Callan Faulkner's program. I came in with my own systems and SOPs, and then built the automation layer on top of them. I am going through it a second time because there is so much more I want to implement. She's running another round of her AI Employee bootcamp in the coming weeks and it solves one of the biggest mistakes I'm seeing people make with AI. Most people using AI are getting generic output because they aren't training it first. Just like a human employee - AI employees need context and training! Want to learn AI from the same program I did? If you join this bootcamp with my link, I'll be hosting a live group call to break down exactly how to apply it to your high-trust business. Full transparency, I earn a commission when you register through that link. I was sending people to Callan long before that was true. |
