Hey Reader, I’ve been quieter than usual the last couple of weeks, and I want to acknowledge why. My mom passed away on December 19th. If you’ve been in my community for a while, you know caregiving for my parents has been a big part of my life and leadership over the last few years. It’s shaped how I think about business, planning, capacity, and what it actually means to lead sustainably. This season hasn’t changed that belief. It’s reinforced it. One thing I know for sure is this: Life doesn’t pause so our businesses can stay perfectly on track. And being a CEO doesn’t mean pushing harder when life gets hard because you have a self-imposed goal that is more important than you, your family, and your real life. It means pausing, re-evaluating, and adjusting the plan to fit where you actually are, right now. And that's what I'm doing in real time.
