Hey there Reader... This week’s podcast episode is unlike any I’ve shared before. I’m pulling back the curtain on what’s really been going on behind the scenes, not just in my business, but in my life. It’s raw. It’s real. And honestly... it’s messy. I originally planned to create a whole separate podcast series to talk about the messiness of real life while running a business, raising kids, and taking care of elderly disabled parents. We even had a photoshoot for this podcast series a couple years ago where my husband, kids, and parents joined me. I had just come through a really challenging few years from 2020-2022 including homeschooling 3 kids during the pandemic, getting Dad into rehab, and taking over my disabled moms care management. When we took this photo, I thought the hard times were over and we were on to a shiny new chapter of our family life. Then Dad relapsed and returned to rehab. Then relapsed again. Mom's care needs have continued to increase and keeping full-time nurses is a lot of work. And my own chronic health conditions were causing me to barely want to get out of bed. Why am I sharing all this messiness with you? Because your business needs to be LIFE-PROOF. You might not go through exactly what I'm going through... but chances are, at some point you'll have to navigate a personal crisis that will require you to step back from your business for weeks if not months. Here’s a glimpse of what I’m sharing:
This one’s personal. If you’ve ever felt like life is getting in the way of your business dreams, I hope this episode reminds you: you’re not alone.
